UK capital markets are poised to benefit from a range of reforms designed to re-assert London’s position as a top global financial centre. We have seen the biggest reform to the listing rules in a generation, anticipated changes to the secondary capital raising rules, the announced launch of the Private Securities Market for private company shares under the PISCES regulation, a further commitment of risk capital via the Mansion House Accord, as well as governance and stewardship reforms to promote long-term value creation across the investment chain.

For the listed investment companies’ sector, the reform agenda presents an opportunity to attract new capital, to scale and channel the flow of investment into strategic areas of economic activity in the UK and globally, building upon its remarkable 157-year history.

The 2025 Investment Funds Conference will discuss the topics at front of mind for industry participants.
