Carroll Barry-Walsh is a highly experienced lawyer/investigator with 4 decades of experience in government, private practice (Slaughter and May, Linklaters) and a variety of financial institutions, including Salomon Brothers, Citigroup and UBS. She set up and ran UBS’s Investigations Group for the EMEA region between 2003 – 2017 during which time it handled over 5000 financial services and whistleblowing investigations, including the investigation into the UK’s biggest fraud (£1.5 billion). Since 2018 she has set up her consultancy, Barry-Walsh Associates (www.barry-walshassociates.co.uk) advising on investigations and culture change. She is currently running the Speak Up/Whistleblowing programme of a global UK-based institution.

Carroll is a highly regarded speaker with extensive public speaking experience. She was the first non-regulator to speak at The International Financial Regulators’ Enforcement Conference organised by the FSA at Wilton Park in May 2005. She has developed and delivered a variety of well-received and compelling presentations to banks, regulators, law firms, industry bodies and at public conferences, as well as internal training programmes and has published a number of articles on culture in the financial sector.

In 2018 Carroll was named by Global Investigations Review as 1 of 100 Top Women in Investigations globally.

Tom Goodman leads EY’s Market Abuse and Surveillance team from London, supporting clients globally as well as in EMEA and the UK to build effective controls to counter market integrity risks. Tom’s background is in data, risk technology and compliance with a primary focus over the past 15 years in supporting client to counter the risks of market abuse. Tom leads EY’s consulting team helping clients to design, implement and operate surveillance controls across a number of jurisdictions.

Liam is a leading UK expert in financial services market abuse surveillance, detection, investigation, and enforcement, currently responsible for running live LSE plc market operations, market trading oversight and post-trade market abuse surveillance of the LSE plc, Turquoise MTF, Spot/Forwards Matching and FXall trading platforms. He has over 20 years of experience, spanning equities proprietary trading, regulatory market abuse investigation at the Financial Conduct Authority, sell-side advisory compliance/market structure and Recognised Investment Exchange market surveillance oversight including STOR submissions, handling STOR Supervisory visits, leading LSE plc disciplinary investigations and criminal investigations related to market abuse at the FCA. Liam has given expert witness testimony in multiple market abuse cases (criminal and civil) on behalf of the FCA and LSEG. 

Vincenzo Dimase is Global Sales Strategy & Execution Director, Trading at LSEG. Vincenzo began his career in Reuters Dubai and then covered several key roles within the company, with a special focus on trading, Foreign Exchange and regulation. He is an expert on regulatory matters – including MiFID II, EMIR, IBOR Reform and the FX Global Code. He has presented and moderated at several prominent industry workshops and conferences across Europe and globally.

Vincenzo is the Managing Director for Refinitiv Italy SpA. He is leading the Regulations Commission at ASSIOMFOREX (the largest financial markets association in Italy) and managed creation and launch of ASSIOMFOREX FX Global Code Public Register.

New York City Marathon finisher, Vincenzo holds a degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University.
