Che Sidanius is the Global Head of Financial Crime & Industry Affairs at LSEG Risk Intelligence. His role is to identify regulatory changes and lead programs of action with the sole purpose of enhancing the fight against financial crime more effective and delivering the best possible outcome for the industry. Together with the World Economic Forum and Europol, he’s the founder of the Global Coalition to Fight Financial Crime and Co-Chair of the B20’s Integrity and Compliance Taskforce.

Prior to joining LSEG, his work experiences include being a Senior Advisor to the Bank of England's Financial Stability Directorate and previously a Senior Bank Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of NY. His most notable awards included receiving the Presidential Award for managing the 2007-09 Financial Crisis and a driving force behind Refinitiv’s Impact Company of the year award in 2019 and contributor to the same award in 2021. 

Che received his Master’s in International Affairs from the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University and undergraduate degree in Political Science from UC Berkeley in California.  

 

Elmar started his professional career in the Financial Services Group of Capgemini Consulting, where he specialized on Banking and Capital Markets. He then joined Reuters in 2006 as a Market Specialist and moved to Sales after the Thomson Reuters merger.

At LSEG he was responsible for Quant & Feed Solutions Sales in the CEE region. In 2022 he moved into Business Consulting covering Risk Solutions.

He also works as a University Lecturer. Elmar has a Master’s Degree in Social and Economic Sciences from the University of Linz in Austria.

Aoibheann has over 10 years experience in Financial Services specialising in regulation, with a particular focus on AML & Financial Crime. Aoibheann has worked with many of Ireland's leading regulated financial institutions in the area of AML, including Banks, Payment Institutions, E-Money Firms and Fund Admins.

Aoibheann has advised these institutions on many areas, such as the implementation of new AML regulation, assessment of Financial Crime Target Operating Models and assistance with large scale KYC remediation projects

Rory has over 25 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry, having worked in Brown Brothers Harriman, JP Morgan, Goodbody Stockbrokers and Merrill Lynch.

Rory’s remit has been across multiple jurisdictions where he assists Financial Institutions on wide variety of Anti Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing prevention matters including issues relating to sanctions, customer due diligence and risk.

Adam Desmond is the EMEA Commercial Director at IDVerse, a world leader in fully automated digital ID verification. Adam is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with a passion for driving digital resilience.

Over the past decade, Adam has worked at technology companies including GBG and Mitek Systems, specialising in document verification and biometric solutions and the wider end to end customer journey, ranging from identity data to application fraud tools. With extensive commercial experience in risk management and threat mitigation, he has successfully implemented cutting-edge strategies to safeguard organizations from evolving cyber threats. Ran Weissblech is a seasoned compliance professional with over 15 years of experience in the regulated financial services sector. He has been recognized as a top expert in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) by prominent publications, highlighting his thought leadership in the field.

Currently serving as a Compliance Officer at AVA Trade EU Ltd in Dublin, Ran specializes in regulatory compliance, trade analysis, and surveillance under MiFID regulations. His extensive background includes roles at GLTK Europe, Citi, Coinmama, and PayPal, where he has managed compliance programs, conducted audits, and implemented AML/CFT policies.

Ran holds a Bachelor’s degree in Laws from the University of Manchester and a Diploma in Fintech Risk and Compliance from Technological University Dublin. Passionate about combating financial fraud and ensuring robust compliance frameworks, Ran continues to influence the industry with his expertise and innovative approaches.

Morgan is a sales specialist for LSEG Risk Intelligence. He joined the firm in January 2023 after having spent 6 and a half years working in the recruitment space, focusing on risk and compliance professionals.

Previous to that he was an AML professional for a large US fund administrator.

I am a Detective Sergeant attached to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) which is part of the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau (GNECB). My current role is Detective Sergeant in charge of International Relations & Policy Unit within FIU-Ireland. I represent FIU-Ireland at various international forums including EU- FIU Platform meetings and also on a national level on Public Private partnerships. I review and assess the impact to FIU-Ireland with regards to incoming policy/legislation from numerous sources such as national legislator, FATF, EU and Egmont Group.

I have been a member of An Garda Síochána for 18 years. I have experience in serious crime investigation and I joined FIU-Ireland in 2020.
