Bruce Alway
Bruce oversees research teams covering base, ferrous, precious, and battery metals across the group’s global locations. He joined the company in February 2014. With over 20 years of experience in the mining and commodities sector, Bruce has worked as a sell-side equity analyst and a metals analyst in market research and consulting. Earlier in his career, he spent seven years as an exploration geologist in Africa. Bruce holds a BSc in Geology and a Master’s in Mineral Project Appraisal from Imperial College London’s Royal School of Mines.

Olumide is a Senior LNG Analyst at LSEG covering global LNG supply and demand dynamics both on a short-term and long-term basis, as well as LNG shipping and trade flows. Prior to joining the LSEG LNG team, Olumide worked at ICIS as an LNG Researcher/Analyst and at S&P Global as an Energy and Political Risk Analyst focused on West Africa. Olumide holds a bachelor’s degree in geology and a master’s degree in Oil and Gas Management.

Hans Brenna Schjønberg
Hans joined LSEG in 2024 and is a meteorologist and Research Lead in the LSEG Weather and Climate Research Team. At LSEG he works on data-driven longer-term forecasts and validation, impacts of climate change on commodity markets and the development of AI-based weather forecasting applications. Hans has previously worked as a climate risk and ESG consultant, as a climate data scientist and as a research scientist at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute. Hans holds a Ph.D in meteorology from the University of Oslo.

Margarita is a senior analyst within the European Power Team focusing on long term and energy transition modelling. Marcin Górski is a Meteorologist & Weather Analyst at LSEG. Before joining the team in 2020, he was an operational meteorologist and weather observer for the Institute of Meteorology in Poland, also a prop-trader at the U.S. commodities/stock market. In 2009, he received a master’s degree in meteorology and climatology from UMCS University in Lublin. At LSEG, he creates short-term and long-term forecasts for the Agriculture and Power markets, covering countries across the globe.
The Weather Team produces in excess of 50 weather commentaries per week, also having a significant role in developing the weather data, charts, tables, and maps shown throughout Workspace.

Gabrielle Kinder is a Carbon Research Lead at LSEG’s Carbon Research Team, specializing in European compliance markets and global voluntary carbon markets. With a career dedicated to environmental markets, she has held roles as a consultant and investment specialist at leading firms in sustainable finance, including Bloomberg and BNP Paribas. She holds first-class MSc degrees in Sustainability and Physical Geography with Biosciences, the CFA Level 1, the CFA IMC, and qualifications in data science.

Gabriele Martinelli joined Refinitiv and the Power research team in February 2016, and since June 2021 he leads the analysis and modeling activities of the European power research group. Gabriele focuses on mid- and long-term price forecasting for Continental Europe, in addition to fundamental modeling of demand and wind power output. He has a PhD in statistics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and a Master of Science degree in mathematical engineering from Politecnico di Milano.

Petter is an analyst with the European Power Research team, focusing on the Nordic Power market. He has a background from Energy and Process Engineering and obtained his MSc degree at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Prior to joining the Power Research team in April 2023, he worked with process engineering design on various hydrogen, biocarbon and oil & gas projects.

Lars Ove Skorpen is Director for Power and Renewable Energy in Pareto Securities. He works with mergers and acquisitions within the power and renewables industry, in addition to corporate finance tasks in the same sectors. Lars Ove joined Pareto Securities in October 1998. Before that he founded Elfinans and worked as a consultant in PwC. Lars Ove Skorpen has an MBA degree in strategy from University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA in finance from the Norwegian school of Economics.

Petter Vegard Hansen is the Director of Power Research at LSEG. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Oslo and has previously worked in the Research Department at Statistics Norway. He was also a member of the expert panel for electricity prices (Strømprisutvalget) appointed by the Norwegian Government in 2023.
