Nathalie Gerl joined the European Power Team in LSEG in December 2017. She has worked as an analyst in energy trading companies in Germany, focusing on power and gas markets. She holds a MSc degree in Economics and Finance from Cologne University. 

Petter is an analyst with the European Power Research team, focusing on the Nordic Power market. He has a background from Energy and Process Engineering and obtained his MSc degree at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Prior to joining the Power Research team in April 2023, he worked with process engineering design on various hydrogen, biocarbon and oil&gas projects.

Marina is a Lead analyst in LSEG team for European Natural Gas markets and has been part of that team since 2012. Marina has previously worked as a researcher in Statistics Norway. Marina holds a PhD and a Master of Science degree in Social Economics from the University of Oslo.

Stefan Söderberg is the head of the Hydro department in LSEG D&A. He has previously worked in E.On and has a Master of Science degree in Water Resources from the University of Lund, Sweden.

Gabriele Martinelli joined Refinitiv and the Power research team in February 2016, and since June 2021 he leads the analysis and modeling activities of the European power research group. Gabriele focuses on mid- and long-term price forecasting for Continental Europe, in addition to fundamental modeling of demand and wind power output. He has a PhD in statistics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and a Master of Science degree in mathematical engineering from Politecnico di Milano.

Margarita is a senior analyst within the European Power Team focusing on long term and energy transition modelling. Before joining LSEG, she worked as an energy transition data analyst, focusing on batteries and hydrogen, and has also experience in solar energy modelling. She holds a double degree M.Sc. in Energy Technologies from Uppsala University, Sweden & MSc. in Energy Engineering and Management from IST, Portugal.

Francisco focuses on PPA modeling, Energy Transition and market analysis for the UK power market. Before joining the European power team in September 2022, he worked for Equinor focusing on Offshore Wind. Francisco holds a double master’s degree in Energy Environment: Science Technology and Management from École Polytechnique in Paris, and in Energy Innovation from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

Marcin Górski is a Meteorologist & Weather Analyst within the Weather Research Team at LSEG.  Before joining the team in 2020, he was an operational meteorologist and weather observer for the Institute of Meteorology in Poland, also a prop-trader at the U.S. commodities/stock market. In 2009, he received a master’s degree in meteorology and climatology from UMCS University in Lublin.  At LSEG, he creates short-term and long-term forecasts for the Agriculture and Power markets, covering countries across the globe. 

The Weather Team produces in excess of 50 weather commentaries per week, also having a significant role in developing the weather data, charts, tables, and maps shown throughout Workspace.

Ulrich Weber is a senior analyst in the European Gas team with a special focus on Europe's role in the global LNG market and the long term outlook. He joined LSEG in the beginning of 2023 after finishing a PhD in Geosciences on Carbon Capture and Storage at the University of Oslo. Ulrich holds a MSc in Physics from the University of Heidelberg.

Geir is CDO of Siglar Carbon and his experience spans from shipping analytics, shipbroking, and building digital solutions combining business intelligence with industry experience

Michał is a Hydrogen Analyst at LSEG . He joined the Natural Gas European Research team in 2022, since then he works on developing LSEG's bottom-up fundamental analysis of the global hydrogen economy to support clients’ navigation through the noise and uncertainty of a dramatically changing energy system.

He has a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology, prior to joining LSEG he worked as an academic researcher responsible for creating scoring methods used in analysis of complex datasets and implementing novel analytical platforms into laboratory's workflow.

Luyue Tan is a Senior Carbon Analyst at LSEG. She works extensively with the European Carbon markets, including EU ETS and UK ETS. She covers EUA/UKA price developments and market dynamics and writes trading outlook reports. She is responsible for the EU ETS and UK ETS supply models. She has professional expertise in carbon pricing, sustainable finance, and Nature-based solutions (NbS). She has worked as a carbon trader in China and participated in China’s pilot ETS design. Previously she also observed China’s carbon markets, offsets in China's voluntary markets, and analysed emerging markets in the APAC area. Her insights on carbon markets are often quoted in leading media including Financial Times, South China Morning Post, Caijing, Carbon Pulse etc. 

Xiulan He is a Senior Hydrologist at LSEG. Since Xiulan joined LSEG in 2017,  she has been working with hydro-energy models worldwide. Her recent focus is to develop hydro-energy products with neural network models.  

Xiulan has a PhD in Geosciences on Uncertainty of Hydrological Models from the University of Copenhagen. 

Petter Vegard Hansen is the Director of Power Research at LSEG. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Oslo and has previously worked in the Research Department at Statistics Norway. He was also a member of the expert panel for electricity prices (Strømprisutvalget) appointed by the Norwegian Government in 2023.
