As Group Head of Sustainability for LSEG, Jane is responsible for designing and leading the Group’s sustainability ambition and strategy globally. Working in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders across the business she is spearheads work to integrate sustainability into the Group’s entire full value chain encompassing operations, market engagement and product and solutions alignment. Jane has worked in sustainable finance for 25+ years, within asset management, investment consulting, wealth management and financial market infrastructure. Jane has been in the vanguard of the sustainable and responsible investment market throughout her career, often responsible for designing and building new sustainable finance capabilities across different market segments. Jane is also co-founder and Chair of The Centre for Financial Capability which is a non-profit focused on financial literacy. Jane is also a non-executive director of The Investment and Savings Alliance (TISA) and a director of The Centre for Financial Capability. She is a fellow of the Forward Institute and has a MSc, Environmental Technology from Imperial College and a BSc Environmental Science from University of Greenwich. 

Nameer Khan, Co-founder and chairman of the MENA Fintech Association (MFTA) and Founder and CEO of Fils, the region's leading sustainability-focused fintech, has been recognized as MENA's Future Fintech Leader by the UAE Central Bank for his outstanding contributions to industry-wide growth and collaboration. Under Nameer's exceptional leadership, MFTA has achieved a ranking as the 4th best global fintech body. His unwavering passion for green fintech innovation continues to inspire a brighter, sustainable, and prosperous future. 

Axel Threlfall is Editor-at-Large, Reuters, based in London. Alongside his editorial duties, he hosts high-profile engagements and thought leadership events for and on behalf of Reuters and Thomson Reuters, such as the Newsmaker series and the World Economic Forum news programming in Davos. He was previously Lead European Anchor for Reuters Digital Video. Prior to joining Reuters, Axel spent four years as an anchor for CNBC in London. Before that, he was an editor with The Wall Street Journal in New York and a news reporter for Bloomberg in London. He has also advised businesses and NGOs on their dealings with the international media. Axel is frequently asked to moderate events for international organizations, including the United Nations, the IMF and the OECD. He has a BA in History from Durham University and a postgraduate degree in journalism from City University, London. 

Jaakko Kooroshy is Head of Sustainable Investment Research at LSEG where he oversees a team of researchers and data scientists developing climate and sustainability-related data, scores and insights for investors.

Previously, Jaakko was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs, where he was the European research lead for GS SUSTAIN, providing insights in investment opportunities around the low carbon transition and other long-term trends.

He has also been a Research Fellow for Energy, Environment, and Resources at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House and an analyst at The HagueCentre for Strategic Studies (HCSS).

He holds an MSc in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam, a BSc in International Economics, and a BA in Social Sciences and History from Maastricht University.

In his capacity as Head of Group Strategy and Innovation at DIFC, Christian is responsible to develop and continuously evolve the strategic agenda and initiatives of DIFC, in line with the UAE’s commitment to innovation and development of future economies. As part of this vision, Christian also furthers in developing DIFC’s core and future of finance proposition and leading a number of initiatives to move the innovation agenda towards a broader conversation about the future of finance.

Christian’s previous experience lies at the intersection of financial services, technology and innovation. He led the Fintech and New (Digital) Business Building practice for McKinsey & Company in the Middle East.

Besides developing future of finance strategies, Christian has built-up several digital FinTech ventures, following a build-operate-transfer model and applying Agile, Design Thinking and Lean Start-up principles. He has also led several digital and analytics transformations of large banks and insurance businesses across the Middle East and Europe.

Based in Scotland, Andrew Lloyd is Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer at vertical farming infrastructure leader Intelligent Growth Solutions (@IGSfarm) where he is responsible for go-to-market strategy and all market-facing functions.  His passion is to ensure customer delight and to forge durable relationships with all stakeholders.

An electrical & electronic engineer by background, he has 37 years of experience of the global IT industry in executive, sales, and marketing leadership roles with industry-leading brands such as Oracle, CA/Netegrity, WorkForce/Workplace, Corero and Allocate.

Andrew is an active member of GlobalScot and has been elected to the GlobalScot Hall of Fame.

Jennifer Chammas is based in Dubai and serves as Regional Head of Sustainability for HSBC Commercial Bank “CMB” in MENAT.

Her current remit is to support middle market and large corporate customer to accelerate the transition in their own operations and their supply chain, as well as supporting the new economy businesses to grow.

Jennifer has 11 years of diverse banking experience with HSBC with roles spanning across private banking, investment banking coverage, trade finance and strategy in New York, London and currently Dubai.

Jennifer has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance) from Boston University. In 2018, she graduated in the top 10% of her MBA class at New York University (Stern) where she specialized in Leadership, Change Management and Strategy.

Jennifer was born in Lebanon and moved to Boston at the age of 15 due to political turmoil. She is fluent in English, Arabic and French. 

An Kelles studied law in Belgium at the University of Leuven including one Erasmus exchange year at Queen Mary and Westfield College in London. She subsequently did an LLM in international business law at Trinity College Dublin.

An qualified as a lawyer in Belgium before moving to Dublin to work in the international business team of the law firm Matheson.

In 2009, she went to work for ATC Corporate Services in Luxembourg as a corporate lawyer and later as a business unit manager. After a shareholding change in 2013, ATC Corporate Services merged with the Intertrust Group.

Nadia Boumeziout is a highly accomplished sustainability professional with a distinguished career spanning more than two decades. Throughout her career, Nadia has been a champion of sustainability, strategic communications, and corporate governance. She has established herself as a leading figure in the field of sustainability, particularly in the UAE, where she has been an early advocate for best practices across sustainability and ESG in financial services.

Nadia's expertise lies in developing and implementing sustainability strategies that engage stakeholders and ensure transparency and disclosure. She has a unique perspective on the role of technology in measuring the true impact of sustainability initiatives.

She has attained a certification in Business Sustainability Management at Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL). She is a member of the Dubai Sustainable Finance Working Group at DIFC, the Co-Chair of the Sustainability Action Society at the Capital Club Dubai, and a mentor for WiSER at Masdar.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Nadia is deeply committed to promoting financial literacy and financial inclusion, as well as women empowerment. She has personally supported girls' education in Tanzania, demonstrating her dedication to making a positive impact beyond her work.

Sarah has over 20 years of Corporate and Investment banking experience, having worked across a number of banking divisions such as Loan Capital Markets, Sustainable Finance, Project Finance, Aviation Finance, Structured Export Finance, Asset Finance, Structured Finance, Structured Trade Finance, and Client Relationships across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

Currently based in UAE, Sarah joined FAB in 2016 from Standard Chartered, where she worked for 16 years and held a number of senior roles, while based in London, Singapore and Karachi.

Sarah is engaged in advising clients on sustainable financing across sectors and concluded several landmark sustainable finance transaction for clients. Under her leadership, FAB has been awarded “Outstanding Leadership in Sustainable Project Finance and Transition/Sustainability Linked Loans in the Middle East 2022,” as well as “Best Bank for Sustainable Finance in the UAE 2022” by Global Finance.

Sarah has successfully delivered bespoke financing solutions (conventional & Islamic) to clients across sectors: renewable energy, power, water, oil & gas, mining, construction, transportation (aviation, shipping, rail). Under Sarah’s leadership, FAB has been awarded Best Aviation Bank in Middle East-Africa for four years by Airline Economics, with several award winning/landmark transactions underpinning this accolade.

Sarah has also worked closely with various Export Credit Agencies (ECAs), having originated, and led several landmark, award winning project and export finance transactions and advisory assignments for regional and international clients across Middle East, Asia, and Africa. She also successfully set up the ECA business within FAB.

Sarah serves as a Board Member for Advancing Women in Aviation Roundtable (AWAR). She also founded GCFWomen – a Global Corporate Finance initiative within FAB and recognized as one of FAB’s Women Positive Impact Leaders.

Mr Philippe Richard joined the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) in October 2015.  He heads the regulatory-related international activities and collaborations with key international organisations and national regulators.  He supports the FSRA in maintaining an active communication and contribution to discussions on fostering global financial stability and shaping international financial regulatory reforms.

Prior to joining ADGM’s FSRA, Philippe was the Director of the International Affairs Department at  the French Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR) overseeing all matters related to prudential and accounting regulations in the banking and insurance sectors. He was a member of the Advisory Board of the United Arab Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority between 2008 and 2009. From 2001 to 2008, he was the Secretary General of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). During his tenure at IOSCO, Philippe was actively involved in the development of the Multilateral Agreement for the exchange of information and in the implementation of the IOSCO Principles. In his earlier career, Philippe was also a Personal Assistant to Jacques de Larosière, the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) from 1993 to 1997.

Belinda Scot is the Head of Sustainability at Gulf International Bank.

Belinda’s responsibility is to support the development and ensure the implementation of GIB’s sustainability strategy in the GCC. This includes providing expertise and advisory support to the business and its clients on sustainable finance.

Belinda joined GIB in 2022. Based in the UAE she spends considerable time across GIB’s regional offices, particularly in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Before joining GIB, she was the Head of Corporate Sustainability at First Abu Dhabi Bank where she led the development and delivery of the bank’s sustainability/ESG strategy across sustainable finance, climate change and ESG. Under her leadership, FAB built a strong reputation in the market for being a leading sustainable finance provider. She has extensive experience of sustainability governance and reporting, including identifying and tracking green / ESG assets and managing ESG oversight Committees. Belinda has also worked at National Bank of Abu Dhabi, where she was Head of Citizenship and Corporate Sustainability, Mubadala Development Company, and the Dubai International Financial Centre Authority (DIFCA).

Ms. Dalal Al-Sane is the Head of Investment Banking at Burgan Bank where she leads the debt capital markets and structured solutions functions with the goal of structuring and executing strategic and opportunistic transactions that support the bank’s liquidity and capital positions from business, risk and regulatory perspectives. Dalal developed the bank’s sustainable financing framework, and is certified in sustainable finance from the University of Cambridge.” 

Suleiman Amin leads The Catalyst, the first venture investor focused on climate tech in the MENA region. The Catalyst is a joint venture between Masdar City and British Petroleum. Under Suleiman's guidance, it has become a major player in the sustainable tech ecosystem.

Amin oversees The Catalyst’s day-to-day operations, sources deals, conducts due diligence, and manages the portfolio, ecosystem engagement, and investor outreach. His positive attitude and strong sense of direction have had a significant impact on the portfolio, fostering a culture of growth and success.

Before joining The Catalyst, Amin was part of the Mubadala Venture Capital team, where he was involved in and led several venture investments in notable MENA companies. He also managed relationships and supported the strategies of major funds he and his team invested in. Prior to that, he worked at Auvest Capital, a hedge fund in Dubai, where he focused on strategy and fundraising.

Amin began his career at Morgan Stanley Investment Banking and Wealth Management, where he gained valuable experience in finance and investments. His specialties include strategy, fundraising, and start-up development with a focus on sustainability and climate tech.

Amin holds a bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College in the U.S., where he double-majored in international business and economics and double-minored in English literature and classics. 

Nazly Asadollahpour is the ESG Director at Majid Al Futtaim-Holding. In her current role, Nazly is responsible for creating and updating the Group’s sustainability and ESG strategy and acts as the ambassador for sustainability within and outside the Group. Nazly brings over sixteen years of experience in sustainable real estate, sustainable finance, ESG and corporate sustainability and one of her top priorities is to drive ‘Net positive’ sustainability strategy across the company’s different business units.

Nazly joined Majid Al Futtaim in 2016 as the Sustainability Manager for Majid Al Futtaim-Properties where she played an important role in driving sustainable real-estate practices across the properties. In 2018 she joined the Corporate Sustainability team. Since 2019, she has been responsible for Majid Al Futtaim ESG rating and serves as the subject matter’s expert in ESG reporting across the company. Alongside the treasury team, Nazly led the successful Majid Al Futtaim Green Sukuk & Sustainability Linked Loan in their multiple rounds. Nazly was recognized as a Top Talent across the company for many years, due to her continued drive to live Majid Al Futtaim’s leadership model to drive sustainable business growth.

Prior to joining Majid Al Futtaim, Nazly was a Principal Sustainability Engineer in Ramboll Middle East and a Senior Sustainability Engineer in Ramboll UK. Nazly is one of the first few sustainability professionals to get the WELL AP accreditation in the UAE. She is also a BRE Academy Fellow, BREEAM Assessor and AP, Estidama PQP, LEED AP (Operation and Maintenance, New Construction, Neighbourhood, Homes), GSAS CGP, SAP Energy Assessor, and various other accreditations. Nazly also undertook the Business Sustainability Management Course, the Supply Chain Management Course by Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) and Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy by MIT. Nazly holds a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from the Technical University of Budapest and a master’s degree in Architecture from Kingston University. 

Omar Saif is a multi-disciplinary professional who has been driving sustainability and decarbonization efforts within the Middle East for the past 10 years. Currently serving as a Senior Specialist at COP28, he focuses on facilitating Technology & Innovation partnerships.

Omar's previous roles include working as a sustainability consultant at EY, WSP and SmartWatt. In these positions, he led and delivered diverse projects including energy management, GHG accounting, Net-Zero, sustainability strategies, and ESG reporting. Additionally, Omar has played an integral role in government trade promotion efforts with the Dutch and New Zealand governments, focusing on the promotion of green-tech startups and SMEs.

Omar holds an M.Eng. in Engineering & Public Policy, as well as a B.Sc. in Environmental Science, both from McMaster University in Canada.

Mohieddine Kronfol is the chief investment officer for Franklin Templeton Fixed Income in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Mr. Kronfol is responsible for managing the investment process, research, and performance of the Global Sukuk and MENA Fixed Income teams, and leads portfolio management for FTSF Global Sukuk Fund and Gulf Wealth Bond Fund. Dino is a pioneer in Arab capital markets where he has committed the past 25 years to the development of MENA debt markets and Sharia compliant finance across the globe. He has one of the longest track records managing global Sukuk assets, since 2008, and under his leadership, Franklin Templeton has established itself as a leader in Global Sukuk investing. Dino frequently shares his views as a commentator on regional and international media and is a regular speaker at industry events. Preceding his tenure at FT, Dino was part of a small team that, in 2000, helped build from scratch and run what became SHUAA Capital's financial services business. He was initially head of Capital Markets and later became head of Debt Asset Management and, in 2002, fund manager of the first fund to focus exclusively on MENA debt. Prior to that, he was an early employee at one of the first pan-Arab investment banks, Middle East Capital Group (MECG). Mr. Kronfol holds a bachelor of arts in business administration and an MBA from the American University of Beirut. He won the first Failaka Islamic Award for "The Best Sukuk Fund" in 2010, the first Employee Provident Fund of Malaysia (EPF) Award for "Best Global Sukuk Portfolio Manager" in 2014 and 2019, and the MENA Fund Manager Award for "Outstanding Achievement by an Individual" in 2016. Franklin GCC Bond fund won the Mountain View Fund Award 2019 in the Bond Funds Global category and in 2021 and 2022 his team was awarded the Bonds, Loans & Sukuk Middle East Awards for MENA Fixed Income Strategy, 1 and 3 Years and Global Sukuk Strategy, 1 Year

Kevin is an experienced electronic trading and carbon market expert. He’s spent over 20 years in international capital markets and has held a variety of senior management positions with Goldman Sachs, UBS, Citigroup, ICE/NYSE and Bloomberg.

He’s advised for JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, McKinsey & company, BCG and Bain.

Throughout his career, Kevin has been in the forefront of emerging trading technologies and has built large scale trading ecosystems across commodities, equities, and fixed income markets.

 For the past several years, Kevin has focused his expertise on developing and scaling the rapidly growing carbon markets and establishing carbon as an emerging new commodity investment instrument, which are crucial to scaling global capital flows to climate projects that fight climate change by reducing, removing, and avoiding carbon emissions. 

Sacha Parneix is Vice-President Commercial at Alstom for Africa, Middle East & Central Asia (AMECA). Appointed in May 2021, Sasha is responsible for growing low-carbon mobility in the region, through new railway lines and/or servicing existing lines.

Prior to joining Alstom, Sacha worked as Chief Commercial Officer at General Electric and was responsible for orders intake at Steam Power business. Between 2015 and 2019 Sacha was Regional Sales General Manager over the Middle East & North Africa.

From an engineering background, Sacha Perneix has gathered nearly 30 years of experience in high-tech organizations within the transport (Safran, NASA, Alstom) and electricity (EDF, ABB, Alstom, GE) segments. Under successive commercial roles over the past 15 years, he has developed some specific know-how in commercial team leadership, strategic positioning, partnerships building, deals negotiations as well as leaning and decarbonizing organisations.

He has lived and worked in various countries, including USA, France, Switzerland and UAE.

Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, is an economist with more than 30 years of experience in international finance and development. In February 2022, Dr. Mohieldin was appointed by the Egyptian Government as the UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for Egypt at the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), with aims at enhancing the communication between the Egyptian presidency of COP27 and businesses, the private sector and, international funding institutions working in climate change-related fields. Since February 2020, Dr. Mohieldin has been the United Nations Special Envoy on Financing the 2030 Development Agenda. He is the former Minister of Investment of Egypt from 2004-2010, and most recently, served as the World Bank Group Senior Vice President for the 2030 Development Agenda, United Nations Relations and Partnerships. His roles at the World Bank also included Managing Director, responsible for Human Development, Sustainable Development, Poverty Reduction and Economic Management, Finance and Private Sector Development, and the World Bank Institute; World Bank President’s Special Envoy on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the Post-2015 Development Agenda (later, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)), and Financing for Development; and Corporate Secretary and Executive Secretary to the Development Committee of the World Bank Group’s Board of Governors. Mr. Mohieldin also served on several Boards of Directors in the Central Bank of Egypt and the corporate sector. He was a member of the Commission on Growth and Development and selected a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum in 2005. His professional experience extends into the academic arena as a Professor of Economics and Finance at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University and as a Visiting Professor at several renowned Universities in Egypt, Korea, the UAE, the UK and the USA. Dr. Mohieldin holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom; a Master’s in Economics and Social Policy Analysis from the University of York, United Kingdom; a Diploma of Development Economics from the University of Warwick; and a B.Sc. in Economics from Cairo University. He also participated in highlevel certification programmes at Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania and Georgetown University. In 2018, the American University in Cairo conferred upon him the honorary degree of doctor of Humane Letters “in recognition of renowned attainments and achievements”

Fazil is a strategy and sustainability leader with over 15 years of experience in the domains of energy transition, climate change and sustainability. He has led some of Middle East region’s iconic and first of its kind projects when it comes to decarbonization, energy strategy, green economy, carbon markets, sustainable finance and ESG strategies for leading governments, asset managers and corporates. Currently he is the Group Vice President for Sustainability and Climate Change at TAQA. His previous companies include Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, EY, PwC, Masdar, Dubai Carbon Center of Excellence and Hewlett Packard.

Fazil holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Power Engineering from Masdar Institute of Science and Technology at Abu Dhabi in collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA). He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and a Certified Measuring and Verification Professional (CMVP). He is one of the first International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) scholars and was awarded ‘Young Future Energy Leader (YFEL)’ by Masdar. Fazil introduced the concept of ‘Demand Response Mismatch’ to the research world, which is published in the IEEE Journal of Smart grids.
